You play guitar and I play the drums
You think it’s charming when we get drunk
'Cause you say nothing but I like that
And I said something but I took it back
Our hometown is not big enough
It could never hold the both of us
You know things your girlfriends taught
Well hold that thought baby hold that thought
She walks around like she's in heat
She makes it sound like she's in heat
She's breaking curfew just for me
So I know better than to try and speak
When she's going home when the streetlights glow
And the moon is full and her mother knows
'Cause she done the same when she was her age
So she don't complain when she acts that way
I bob and weave just like a boxer
Avoiding heartbreak from the east
I never been much of a talker
Avoiding heartbreak from the east
I get the feeling that I lost her
Avoiding heartbreak from the east
Happy hunting, she's such a gem
Cranberry somethings, she had a lot of them
And boarding schools have got the best cocaine
And I'm warning you you're gonna be okay
Til she's going home with another guy
'Cause its murphy's law and it's a matter of time
She's gonna grip the sheets before she screams his name
He's gonna burn his hands on my former flame
Now bob and weave just like a boxer
Avoiding heartbreak from the east
I never been much of a talker
Avoiding heartbreak from the east
I get the feeling that I lost her
Avoiding heartbreak from the east
Avoiding heartbreak at least

A pop-punk album full of both angst and maturity. A lot of this album is about growing up, but I've been consistently coming back to this album for over 5 years and it never gets old. evan_burman
